She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Simon and Minna Simon (Tietz); her husband Arnold Surdyk; her children, Debra Surdyk and Tony Surdyk (Kathy); her grandchildren, Troy (Emily) and Heidi; and her brother Arno Simon.
