It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy J. Abel of Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl J. Abel and Helen Ruth Abel (Casebeer); his wife Sharon Abel; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Hagood (Matthew) of Milan, Lesli Bicknell (Scott) of Colorado and Michelle Riggs (Brian) of Ann Arbor; his grandchildren, Mollie McGuire (Joshua), Emma Bell (Brandon), Hannah Pummell (Adam), Garrett Bicknell (Megan), Gavin Bicknell and Marz J. Riggs; his great grandchildren, Colton, Hunter, Harper, Owen and Emmitt; and his siblings, Earlene Wooden, Thomas Abel and Katie Saylor (Roger). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
