He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin F. Kleinschmidt and Dorothy W. Bird; his brother Donald Kleinschmidt; and his granddaughter Brienne. He is survived by: his wife Sally Jo; his children, Stephen (Becky) and Linda Kleinschmidt; his grandchildren, Hadley, Gabriel Kleinschmidt, Lauren, Alyssa and Grant Scherer; his sister Joanne Buss (Michael); and his sister-in-law Terri Kleinschmidt. He is also survived by his son's best friend, his daughter.
