He was predeceased by: his father John Scott; his brother Joe Scott; and his niece Katie Sedgeman. He is survived by: his mother Mary Scott of Cape Coral, FL; his wife Annie; his daughters, Callie Scott of Philadelphia, PA, Libby Makowsky (Matt) of Dexter and Emily Mercadante (Dave) of High Point, NC; his grandchildren, Ellie, Edie Makowsky, Lucy, Maggie, Oliver and Hope Mercadante; and his siblings, Ann Blackwell (Jerry), Janet Pascoe, Leta Lee (Tyler), Dave Scott (Dawn), Julie Wylie, Jim Scott and Teresa Burns (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Clinic, 518 Harriet St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
