“A tribute from the preface of my dissertation, which I still feel movingly: "I feel exceptionally fortunate to have worked with George Mavrodes, who has the gifts of slowing down a thought and of seeing difficult things simply. Thank you to George for his sharp commentary and for conveying a genuine respect of my opinion which has made me respect it more myself. His support helped me speak at my first international conference and land my first professorship." We miss you already!”
