He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Fried and Frances Fried (Klein); his son Dan Fried; and his sister Linda Pallot. He is survived by: his wife Stella Wenlan Wang; his children, David, Isaac, Lana and MeiMei; his granddaughter Taylor S. Chaliman; his sister Donna Fried; and his former wife Paula Reeves Fried Spicer.
