We announce the death of James Francis Hart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 80. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Hart and William Hart; his brother Bill Hart of Seyfried's Jewelers; and his sister-in-law Lynn Hart. He is survived by: his sister Jeanne Hart; his nephews, Will Hart (Kat) and Ben Hart (Jennifer); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Madeline, Will and Cal Hart.
