He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McGarvey and Iris McGarvey. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann Vertes; his children, Robin Mercer (Scott), Jerry McGarvey (Jin) and Julie Hamway (Joe); his grandchildren, Adam (Cristina), Brett (Aly), Evan, Joey, Cooper, Miles, Maren and Reagan; his great grandchildren, Willis and Vincent; and his brother Bill McGarvey.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Michigan Jazz Festival would be greatly appreciated.
