It is with sadness that the passing of John Johns of Ann Arbor, Michigan is shared. John, born on April 20, 1950 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Johns and Jean Johns (Stewart). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Johns (Gendron); and his son Ian Stewart Johns.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Casey's Tavern (304 Depot St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104).
The family requests memorial contributions in John's name to The Detroit Symphony Orchestra in lieu of flowers.
