He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Gable, MD and Dorothy Wagner Gable; and his brothers, Fred and Tim. He is survived by: his wife Hélène Dominique Abed; his sons, Nicholas (Ana) and Michael; his grandson Misha; his nieces and nephews, Brian P. Gable (Carla), Heather Gable Storey, Caleb Gable (Carly Stickel) and Chelsea Gable; and his cousin Marta Wagner.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home (3767 W Liberty Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103).
Donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
