He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Kiel and Vickie Kiel (Gilbert); and his sister Jessica Kiel. He is survived by: his aunt Carol (family: Kristen, Ty, Steve, Jessica, Owen); his uncle Rob Gilbert; his grandchildren, Michael and Lia Gonzalez; his great grandchildren, Antonio and Ashley Lockett-McGuire; his cousin Christina; his brother Josh; Larry Frankiewicz, Debbie, Justin, Nicole, Jeremiah Johnson, Ja'men Johnson and Jayce McGuire.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to support the annual camp that brought Josh so much joy and so many lifelong memories.
