With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard D. Coleman (Ann Arbor, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Leonard had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Leonard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Coleman and Violet Coleman; his wife Sandra Coleman; his daughter Tracy Coleman-Moscara; and his siblings, Betty Yerebeck (Doug) and Ronnie Coleman (Mary).
He is survived by: his son Thomas Coleman (Amy); his brother Jerry Coleman (Carol); and his grandsons, James, Robert and Noah. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as several other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Liberty Road Chapel (3767 W Liberty Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Bethlehem Cemetery (2801 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103).
