She was predeceased by: her parents, John Saunby and Eva Saunby of Petoskey; and her aunt Edith Juergens (Abdon). She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Jay Thomas of Luke's Lutheran Church; and her stepchildren, Laura Rayer (Tom), James "Jim" Thomas Jr. (Jennifer) and William "Bill" Thomas. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren.
