We bid farewell to Mary Hodge (Ann Arbor, Michigan), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 6, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Hodge and Armeria Hodge; and her siblings, Perkins Hodge, Alice Scott, Willie Hodge, Van Hodge, Ellen Player, Jimmy Hodge, Fannie Humphrey and Bertha McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Smith (James) of Pittsfield Township, Michigan, Matthew Smith (Kendra Jackson) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Shantisha Smith of Ann Arbor, Michigan.; and her grandchildren, Jordan G. Huff of Pittsfield Township, Donald J. E. Hunt of Pittsfield Township and Marlee Mae Helen Smith of Ypsilanti. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Road Chapel (2400 Carpenter Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 2345 Tyler Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
