“I first met Mike in the mid-1980s. He was a teacher at Cass Technical HS in Detroit and a participant in a novel approach to geometry led by Timothy V. Craine and myself (Geometry Developed with Algebra). He was an eager learner, thoughtful participant, and great teacher. My husband Howard and I have remained friends with him and his wife Lisa while they lived in Detroit and later in Ann Arbor. We celebrated with them when their son Jacob came into their lives. He will be deeply missed.”
