He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schoenfeldt and Marilyn Schoenfeldt (Cleveland). He is survived by: his wife Leslie Atzmon; his sons, Ben and Aaron Schoenfeldt; his daughters-in-law, Huanyi Shui and Camille Burke; his granddaughters, Elaine and Eloise Schoenfeldt; his stepchildren, Amy and Ethan Atzmon; his brother Patrick; and his sister-in-law Sherry Schoenfeldt.
Throughout his time as a Life Member of Clare Hall, a 2018 Visiting Fellow Commoner at Trinity College, and a 2022 Elected Fellow at King's College—unfortunately declined due to COVID— Cambridge was Mike's intellectual second home.
This donation gave Mike and his family a new lease on life and the opportunity to hold his two granddaughters, Eloise and Elaine. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the PKD Foundation (https://pkdcure.org) be made in Mike's name.
