He was predeceased by: his sister Ellen Stamelos. He is survived by: his wife Roswitha Elizabeth Schuldt; his children, Michael Schuldt Bird, Nicole Bird, Kelsey Bird, Tracey Elizabeth Bird (Stephen Frye), Deegan Elijah Schork (Adam Richard Schork) and Bella Claire Schork; and his sister Mary Bird.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask continued support of Arbor Hospice and the wonderful services they provided the Bird family as Richard was able to peacefully pass in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
