He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Schaffer Higgins; his stepchildren, Kelly Wilkie (David), Daniel Higgins (Lisa Grutza) and William Higgins (Maura); his grandchildren, Bob, Ryan Wilkie, Lauren Wilkie, Kathryn Wilkie, Kaitlyn Caroen (Darren), Madison Higgins, Liam Higgins and Reece Higgins; and his sister Sally Slette of McHenry, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
