Ruth leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ruth’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Ruth will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett DeBorde and Katherine DeBorde; and her husband Stephen LaCoe. She is survived by: her brothers, David DeBorde (Carol) and Richard DeBorde; her children, Scott LaCoe (Mariah) and Susan Amrhein (Dean); and her grandson Ryan Amrhein. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Church of Christ (10425 Bethel Church Rd, Manchester, MI 48158).
She was active in the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild and made quilts to donate to Alpha House and The House by the Side of the Road.
