She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin and Betty; and her brother David. She is survived by: her husband John Birko; her daughter Stephanie; her son-in-law Chad; her grandsons, Henry, Howe and Homer of Leesburg, Virginia; her sons, Alex of Chicago and Jay (John); her daughter-in-law Stephanie; her grandson Beckham of Chicago; and her sisters, Lynne (Bill) and Karen (Andy). She is also survived by in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Suzanne's name can be made to the American Heart Association.
