It is with sadness that the passing of Uan Kang in Ann Arbor, Michigan is shared. Uan, born on March 2, 1938, passed away on October 14, 2026. He is survived by: his family, Seoul and Uan; his wife Kang Jung Ja; his children, Yoosang and Irene; his son-in-law Victor Swaminathan; and his grandsons, Hudson, Elliot, Samuel and Benjamin. He is also survived by brothers and two younger sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Liberty Road Chapel (3767 W Liberty Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery (43300 W 12 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377).
