He was predeceased by: his parents, Waino Pekkala and Melma Pekkala; and his son Kevin Pekkala. He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" Pekkala (D. C.); his children, Karen Pannella and Brant Pekkala (Angel); and his grandsons, Sean Pannella and Ross Pannella.
