It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Yale Kamisar of Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on January 30, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Kamisar and Mollie Kamisar (Levine); his close friends, Dean Acheson, Secretary of State and Truman Administration; his wife Joan (Russell); his sons, David Kamisar (Denise) of West Bloomfield, Gordon Kamisar (Karen) of Sammamish and Jonathan Kamisar (Stacy) of Weston, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Ben (Shelby Lopez) and Mia Kamisar; and his sisters, Myrna Berkin (Jerry) and Bernice Adler (Samuel). He was also cherished by extended family members, friends.

“I met Yale in 1964 when I was a student and he a visiting professor at the Harvard Law School, and I can't begin to count the kindnesses he extended since then (including arranging visiting gig at San Diego after I retired in 2012 -- our barber there said we had much in common including excessive ear hair).
