He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert G. Gabler and Arlene J. Gabler; his father-in-law Henry Bergmans, Jr.; and his grandparents, Harold, Edith Wade, George and Laura Gabler.

He is survived by : his wife Lynne Bergmans; his children, Julie Foley (Michael) of Marysville, Katherine Gabler (Brien Heckman) of East Lansing and Robert Gabler (Kristen) of Croswell; his grandchildren, Christian, Abigail, Robert, Kenneth, Joseph and Owen; his brothers, James Gabler (Judy) of South Lyon and Thomas Gabler of Wixom; and his mother-in-law Mary Bergmans of Greenwood Township.
