He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara. He is survived by: his daughter Debra Nuiver (Jack); his grandchildren, Michelle Engbers (Dave), Christopher Nuiver (Samantha) and Lauren Herbert (John); his child Joni Brummel (Mel); his grandchildren, Rebecca Bredeweg (Matt), Melissa Tubergen (Dave) and Joel Brummel (Carla); his daughter Nancy Wiersma (Daniel); his grandsons, Paul Wiersma (Shannon), Michael Wiersma and Peter Wiersma (Julie); his son Bob DeVries (Karen); his grandchildren, Jennifer Jones (George), Thomas DeVries (Alison), Mitchell DeVries (Shae), Charlie DeVries and Ellie DeVries; his brother Larry DeVries (Dottie); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Alazraki, Mary Strong (Scott) and Tom Tiesma (Sue). He is also survived by his 31 great-grandchildren.
