She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Merkel and Eleanor Merkel; and her sons, Daniel, Matthew, Timothy and Michael.

She is survived by: her son Mark Glendenning; her daughter-in-law Lois Ellis; and her grandchildren, Amy McKinley, Douglas Glendenning, Leslie Darland, Heather Banfield, Matthew Glendenning, Lisa Bascomb, Timothy Glendenning and Danielle Hayes. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.
