He is survived by: his wife Berneda Shattuck (Nieman); his daughter Laura Shattuck; his stepchildren, Ronald Kimmel (Angie), Susan Havelka, Christine Waldron and Ellen Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Wyatt Clements, Cass Bongard (Jenna), Justin Kimmel (Stacy), Josh Kimmel, Anna Kimmel, Emily Schlaack (Steven), Zach Kimmel (Isis), Kyle Kimmel (Heather), Grace Zimmerman (Matt) and Jon Zimmerman (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Ethan Kimmel, Brooklyn Kimmel, Ariel Kimmel, Logan Brzak, Hudson Kimmel, Natalie Brzak, Evelyn Kimmel and Rhenley Zimmerman; and his sisters, Koreen Smith (Terry) and Arlinda Shattuck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard's honor to the wishes of the family.
