She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Kaiponen and Anna Kaiponen (Saalasti); her husband Floyd LaRue; her grandson Jesse Optenberg; and her brother David Kaiponen (Ontonagon).
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Optenberg (Lance) of Madison, WI, Denise Connell of Ironwood, MI, Steven LaRue of Newberg, WI, Richard LaRue of Atlantic Mine, MI and Judy LaRue (Michael Fik) of Toivola, MI.; and her sister Carole Perigo (Lee) of Oregon Numerous.
