It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlott Bortle (Au Gres, Michigan), who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Charlott is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Charlott's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Hildner and Lottie Hildner (Rehil); and her great grandchild Kayden Stone. She is survived by: her children, Seymour "Butch" Bortle (Melissa), Dale Bortle (Lynn), Kim Duncan (Rick), Martin Bortle (Erin) and Brenda Nicholson (John). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
