He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; his son Reed Van Wormer; and his sister Rose Kern (James). He is survived by: his sons, Scott Van Wormer and Ryan Van Wormer (Samantha); his grandchildren, Alexis Lucido (Samuel) and Connor Van Wormer; and his brothers, James Van Wormer (Linda) and Lyle Van Wormer (Lily). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Avondale High School Athletic Department Boosters in George's honor.
