She was predeceased by : her parents, Irma Libke and Carroll Libke; and her husband George John Bertels, Jr.. She is survived by : her children, Dianne Salesin (Jeremy) and George Bertels III (Suzann); her grandchildren, Kate, Alex, Andrew and Megan; and her brothers, Donald and Paul Libke.
