He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Higdon and Ravella Higdon; and his siblings, Alice Brown and Julius Higdon. He is survived by: his children, Minyonn Higdon, Deon Higdon, Oscar Higdon Jr., Rachelle Torres (Miguel) and Maxxcell Higdon; and his sisters, L. T. Hurley (Richard) of Surprise, Arizona and Taryn Foreman (Walter) of Detroit. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
He also believed in giving back to the community and was a proud supporter and donor to the Dakota Indian Foundation.
