He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean William and Ernst Sass Jr. William (S. Air Force); and his sister Marlies Sass. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Rachel Sass, James Sass (Sarah) and Elaina Land; his grandsons, Cody Sass and Jace Sass; and his brother Thomas Sass (Kimberly).
