He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Claar and Alice Claar; and his brothers, Mike Claar and Larry Grueter. He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Sharon), Timothy of Bad Axe and Mark (Brook) of North Carolina; his wife Shirley M. Sidener; his siblings, Steven Claar (Sheila) and Vikki Mills (Mark); his sister-in-law Sandra Summey; and his grandchildren, James Claar and Stephanie Claar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Hubert Parish/ Sacred Heart Catholic Church (311 Whitelam St, Bad Axe, MI 48413).
