He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernon and Martha; his sister Hazel Rice; his brothers-in-law, Lonnie Stewart and Eldon Geerlings; and his son-in-law Michael Woodwyk.

He is survived by : his daughters, Shannon Woodwyk of Spring Lake and Maureen Miles of Holland; his stepdaughter Katherine Martinez; his siblings, Grace Stewart of Holland, Rose Stam (Craig) of Baldwin, Crystal Walters (Bob) of Dorr, Pearl Geerlings of Zeeland and David Miles (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Shianna Woodwyk, Daron Martinez and Aaron Martinez (Mariah); and his great grandchildren, Marie and Mario.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
