He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Leslie and Cora Walton (Meyers); and his siblings, Donald Walton, Robert Walton and Dorothy Campbell.

He is survived by : his close friend Vivian Crystal Vellenga (Lamb); his wife Vivian Vellenga-Walton of Baldwin; his children, Diane Diener of Fenton, Michigan, Michelle Bingham (Dan) of Wake Forest and Matthew Walton of Shelby Township, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Tony Martin, Angela Martin, Jessica Bingham, Cameron Walton and Aaron Walton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
