She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Hold and Barbara Hold (Macheck); and her sisters, Christine Hold and Louisa Monroe. She is survived by: her husband Paul Whitman; her sons, Andrew Whitman and Stephen Whitman; and her siblings, Rod Hold and Melba "Penny" Leroy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
