He is survived by: his wife Jean Eckerberg of Baraga; his children, Eric Eckerberg (Carrie) of Baraga and Erin Eckerberg of Mesa, Arizona; his sister Jean Eckerberg of Atlantic Mine; his grandchildren, Ashley Theis, Andrew Eckerberg, Alex Rehbein and Matthew Eckerberg (Diana); and his great grandchild Dimitri Eckerberg.
