He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Heim and Pearl Heim; his siblings, Mary and Ron; and his foster parents, Pat Olson (Hollo) and Lloyd Olson.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Heim (Lynn Vitek) and Denise Gilbert (Phil); his grandchildren, Nikki Pirlot (Brooks), Jeremy Heim (Kasey), John Heim (Emily), Marshall Gilbert (Erin), Garrett Gilbert (Taryn) and Logan Heim (Sam Paradiso); his close friend Maggie Irving; his brother Ken Heim; and his sister-in-law Grace Heim.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Bark River Athletics for development of a scholarship or supporting their programs.
