He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. and Ellen (Morris); his wife Doreen Ehlert; and his siblings, Steve, Rod, Lisa and Scott.

He is survived by: his children, Jon Bell II, Jeffrey Bell (Kari), Jennifer Killian (Doug), Derek Ingeson (Megan) and Paul Bell (Beth); and his brothers, Rick Bell (Pam) and George Bell (Mary Jane). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel (9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106).
