He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Swartz and Elsie Swartz (Hill); his son David Swartz; his siblings, Ed, Jerry Swartz and Flora Savoie; and his former wife Eileen Alward.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Daniel Swartz (Debbie), Susie Robinson, Annie Ross and Janet Austin (Craig); and his sisters, Eva Beckon (Bob) and Helen Potter. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
