He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Hires; and his stepson Joey Lynn Bailey. He is survived by: his children, Robert Hires, Beverly Ruis and Mark Hires; and his stepchildren, Vic Bailey, Penny Davis and Bonita Thayer. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
