He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. Barnell and Maxine J. Barnell (Klopfenstein). He is survived by: his children, Melanie Jones of Illinois, Vanessa Patterson of Shelby, Michael Barnell (Connie) of Battle Creek and Monica Barnell of Battle Creek; and his siblings, Sharon Parman, Sylvia Gillum (Pat), Steve Barnell (Amy) and LaVonne VanSyckle (Eldon). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
