He was predeceased by: his parents, David Shearer and Marion Shearer (Pashby); his wife Kathleen; and his sister Sandra Everwine. He is survived by: his sons, David Shearer (Jennifer) of Kalamazoo and Sam Shearer (Chiuchu) of Lake Forest, CA.; and his brother Dan Shearer of Battle Creek.
