He is survived by: his sons, Eric K. Ely (Teresa) of Marshall, Michael H. Ely (Cheryl) of Battle Creek and Mark A. Ely (Leann) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Ethan J. Ely, Kelsey M. Ely, Samantha L. Ely, Loren E. Ely and Kamryn C. Ely; and his close friend Marcia Ambs of Battle Creek. He is also survived by cousin and several nieces and nephews.
