She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin G. Bates and Patricia M. Bates (Burbank); her siblings, Marvin "Butch" Bates Jr. and Janet Felter; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Bates and Wanda Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Sturdivant; her daughters, Amanda Asher (Matt) and Tricia Sams (Richard); her grandchildren, Hayden Barnes, Korben Barnes, Jesse Asher, Joseph Asher, Annamae Sams, Riker Sams, Roman Sams and Reagan Sams; and her siblings, Thomas Bates (Helen), David Bates (Ann) and Connie Schragg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
