He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Crane (VanPatten) and Ernest Ray Crane; his sister Joann Bales (Crane); and his brother-in-law John Bales. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Crane (Morris); and his children, Pamela Crane, Dennis Crane (Theresa) and Lynn Smalek (Rick). He is also survived by three grandchildren, four great‑grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
