He was predeceased by: his parents, Ursula Compton (Francis) and Ralph Compton; and his brother Bill Compton. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Compton (Tibbetts); his children, Joseph Compton (Autumn) and Suzanne Power (Jacob); his grandchildren, Reed, Nolan, Cora Compton and Kenneth Power; and his siblings, Joyce Clark (Roger), Pat Cole (Chuck) and Mike Compton.
