He is survived by: his children, Dr. David Teegarden (Douglas Abraham) and Richelle Spencer (Janice Couchman); his grandchild Jamie Spencer; his sister-in-law Phyllis Teegarden; his sibling's children, Lynn Norrod, Lee Buschke (Dave) and Jay Teegarden; his great-niece Katie Buschke; his great-nephews, Gregory Buschke and Jory Teegarden; and also Grayson.
It was Donald's wish that memorial contributions be made to American Sail Training Association (ASTA).
