It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Sue Wanzer (Battle Creek, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Eugene Wanzer; her parents, Goodloe Barbee and Wille Cherry-Barbee; and her brothers, Alvin Barbee, Joseph Barbee and Donnell Barbee.
She is survived by: her children, Lennie Sue Wanzer-Vargas, Sharon Elizabeth Wanzer and John Edward Wanzer (Patty); her sisters, Betty Barbee-Blanks and Dorothy Barbee-Blanks; and her sisters-in-law, Jan Barbee, Helen Barbee-Brooks and Chiquita Barbee. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
